whoops!! we are not free yet

I read in the chronicle Herald where they are going to almost ban dances in school :) href=://"http://www.herald.ns.ca/Front/533618.html"> The rhumba is coming back and fashion is not in tune with the rhumba. Some folks think there are not enough clothes on the dancers to do the dance so that the "air flows freely between their bodies". Grammas and grampas, Moms and Pops, who are not comfortable watching this-do you remember the Go-go girls in the little cages and the men watching and yelling as you did your dance? rremember the students sneaking the bottle in to their cars before they went to the dance and the girls drinking in the cars with them-driving home without a seat belt and designated driver? Remember the topless waitresses? The streakers? Dirty Dancing, that we all watched and tried? We just wore more duds, that's all. Ban the duds not the dance.Go after the manufacturers and designers. Go after the kids clothes, give them away to the sally anne for underwear! A dance is art , it is not murder. this too shall pass. Don't get your knickers in a knot, gram because everything is impermanent including style. This too shall pass. Don't ban art . Think of more art for the kids and try some yourself. It could be fun. After all, kids do it. Your kids!
