THE BEST OF THE SEASONS

Gee! I stopped into the drug mart on my way home tonight ot pick up a prescription. I found myself in a tizzy. While strolling through the isle, I saw Pumpkins, jack-o-lanterns, boxes of treats to give out for Halloween. Next to that was Christmas decorations, angels, tinsel , tree ornaments. Oh dear, what to buy first? A couple of weeks ago it was school supplies in every ilse, while the summer sandals and sunscreen were in the other. They have now been covered with holiday decorations. Is this not thanksgiving? are the green leaves not still on the trees outside my house? They were when I left this morning.A robin sucked up a worm from a mudpuddle in my drive this morning. They know it is not time. they are still around. I can only handle today, merchants. please don't burden me with the future. I am really enjoying being in today, actually and love to crunch the leaves falling as I walk. Love the smell of the fresh crisp air with a tendril of wood smoke coming up from an occassional house rushing the season into autumn. I am looking forward to the fresh white snow to walk through and the sweet smell it always carries and the kisses the flakes give me on my face as they fall. All in it's time dear merchants, let's enjoy what we are doing right here in the now. The picture above is from my collection I call "Winter in the maritimes". A reflection of just how much we maritimers enjoy outside.:)
